International Book Project is currently experiencing a shortage of the types of children's books required for several of our upcoming shipments. We are asking the community to support our Children's Book Drive and help us stock the shelves of partner libraries in Tonga, Kosovo, the Philippines, and Papua New Guinea!
IBP's current greatest need is for:
- Elementary chapter books
- Middle school fiction books
- Young adult fiction books
- Graphic novels appropriate for elementary through high school aged children
- Nonfiction books for middle and high schoolers on subjects such as world history, science, mathematics, art, nature, etc.
Donations to the book drive can be dropped off at International Book Project's warehouse on 1440 Delaware Avenue June 29 - July 2 from 9am-5pm.
Because these books are needed in places with few resources to receive printed material and need to last a long time, IBP is only able to accept donations of books in gently used to like new condition. Please refrain from donating books with missing pages, water damage, evidence of pests, or mold. IBP is also unable to accept workbooks that have already been filled out.
Thank you for helping us promote literacy around the world!
International Book Project is a 501(c)3 nonprofit and all monetary and in-kind donations made are tax-deductible.
