Paint the Town 2021

Artist will have spent the day painting cityscapes throughout downtown Lexington. Their work will be hung in the Downtown Public Library Gallery and you are invited to the Exhibition Opening and Reception that evening.

This is this 10th Annual Paint the Town which is now a signature event for Arts Connect. Last year (yes, 2020) 64 artists participated by creating work off-site for this show which still took place to spite Covid, and thanks to the additional benefit of a virtual exhibition, and an online shop, many pieces sold.

This year we are back with plein air in-person. Artists will be scattered throughout the city painting scenes of their choosing. Watch them work to capture the light and shadows as the day progresses.

Then join us for the evening festivities, see the finished work installed, meet the artists and have some wine and hors d'oeuvres.

Tickets include a glass of wine, the opportunity to vote for People's Choice and can be applied for their entire face value towards the purchase of an artwork - that evening only. One ticket per artwork.
