Live At Base110 with Alioune Guisse

Online Event Presented by Base110

Sunday, May 24th
12:00am - 1:00am

This Saturday we premier Live at Base110 a series exploring music, culture, and conversations about art & community.

Join us for a virtual discussion with the award-winning vocalist Alioune Guisse about his international travels, partnership with Green Room Exchange, and recent recording expedition in Senegal.

We will be joined by Lexington’s Lee Carol and Connie Milligan to talk about their collaboration, discoveries while traveling, and the project that is unfolding during the global shutdown.

His father, Amadou Guisse, was founder and lead singer of the Fulani Yela. The first group dedicated to the promotion and evolution of the music of the Fulani people of northern Senegal. Baaba Maal made his debut with this group.
