AUDITIONS Our Town

Announcing auditions for the Gateway Regional Arts Center's Spring production of Thornton Wilder's "Our Town" directed by Charles Baldwin.

Audition Dates: Thursday, Jan. 30th & Wednesday, Feb. 5th, 5:30-7:30pm

Performance Dates: April 18th & 19th, 7pm

Our Town tells the story of the everyday lives of residents in the fictional small town of Grover's Corners, New Hampshire, focusing on the relationship between young neighbors Emily Webb and George Gibbs as they grow up, fall in love, marry, and ultimately face the tragedy of Emily's death in childbirth, all while the play explores the universal themes of life, love, and death through a minimalist stage and a narrator-like "Stage Manager" who directly addresses the audience; the play's central message is that people often don't fully appreciate the simple beauty of daily life until it's gone.
