Singer-Songwriter Showcase

Join us this Saturday night for our monthly Singer-Songwriter Showcase, featuring four incredible local artists that will share their original music and stories with us! Here's more about each of the amazing artists this month:

 Louise: Based in Lexington, KY, Louise is an artist who's known to be loud and sensitive; heady, but raw and vulnerable: drawing inspiration from the likes of Elliot Smith, Radiohead, Sufjan Stevens, Failure, Big Thief, and Nirvana, her songs introduce an alternative indie/folk-rock experience full of biting, emotional, brutally intimate pieces.

 Eric McQuitty: Eric is a pianist and singer-songwriter from Charleston, SC. A lover of dense harmonic color and soulful melodies drawing influence somewhere between the stylings of Lionel Richie and Hozier, with a particular affinity towards the jazz harmonies of Robert Glasper and Alfa Mist.

 Jason Rueger: Jason’s music takes inspiration from artists like Noah Gunderson, Big Thief, and the Tallest Man on Earth. With vocal layers, overlapping guitar riffs, and melodic finger picking, it asks: How do you capture and communicate a moment, thought or feeling in real-time?

 Aja Haynes: Aja Haynes is a singer-songwriter who grew up in Antigua and now makes music in the mountains of Kentucky. From a family of makers (seamstresses and tailors) he crafts songs, brooms, and sewed creations with equal care. His music processes grief, displacement, and vulnerability through alternative folk, creating space for anyone caught between worlds.
