Constitution 5K / Run for the Arts - COVID Edition

The Constitution 5K/Run for the Arts is one of the region's longest-standing and more-beloved races. We weren't about to let COVID-19 force us to break the 42-year tradition. The race must go on!!

However...the race committee has made the decision to organize a virtual run this year, as an in-person race cannot realistically conform to the public health requirements currently in place. 300 people panting at the finish line together just isn't wise.

We will still mark out the traditional racecourse through downtown Danville and we encourage participants to run the race on their own schedule during a one-week window starting Sunday, September 20th.

We have a brand-new special edition t-shirt - inspired by Edvard Munch's classic painting "The Scream" - and you definitely won't want to miss out on your chance to own a piece of history. The COVID-19 race shirt sure to become a collector's item in years to come. This year's shirt is a soft, ring-spun cotton and so comfy you'll want to wear it all the time. Shirts will be available for pickup approximately 2 weeks after race. In the name of frugality in the time of COVID, we are only ordering as many as we need, based on actual registrations.
