Jessie Laine Powell with Andre Wilson

Kick off Breeders’ Cup weekend with us on Friday, October 30, from 8:30 to 10:30pm at Cannabuzz Bar & Dispensary! Lexington vocalist Jessie Laine Powell takes the stage with Andre Wilson on piano for a night of lively, electrifying R&B, soul, and jazz.

Jessie has been performing since she was 14, singing at weddings, festivals, and churches across Kentucky. Her roots are in gospel, and you can hear that power and passion in everything she sings. Today she’s carrying it into soul, R&B, and jazz, inspired by greats like Anita Baker, Patti Austin, and Phyllis Hyman. Her goal is simple: to heal the world through her music.

Expect big vocals, a sharp piano, and a room full of energy. Bring your friends, grab a drink, and start the weekend right.
