The Kentucky Fried Zine Fest (KFZ) is a fun-filled day in which local and national exhibitors will gather to display and sell zines (independently published magazines), indie comics, book & paper arts and more. 50+ exhibitors from around the country will be in attendance.

Noon-1 p.m.

Panel Discussion: “In Collaboration & Conversation: Underground DIY Culture from the 1960s to Now”

This panel discussion brings together four iconic Kentucky creators: writer/artist J.T. Dockery, hip-hop artist Hendrick "Sheisty Christ" Floyd, writer/professor Ed "Captain Kentucky" McClanahan, and writer/photographer Guy Mendes. The free-form discussion will include a wide variety of topics - all with the underlying theme of DIY culture as it relates to the arts, publishing, and music. The panelists will discuss the evolution of their careers and projects, writers and artists who inspired their work, and the origins and end results of their various collaborations with one another. There will also be a collection of "show and tell" items for audience members to browse.

Printmaking Workshop

Attendees are invited to lean about and practice various printing techniques including risograph.
