Few trumpet players can match the artistry and versatility of Sergei Nakariakov. Renowned around the world for his breathtaking virtuosity, warm, velvety sound, and remarkable musical sensitivity, Nakariakov has earned a reputation as one of the most exciting trumpet players of his generation - even being described as “the Paganini or Caruso of the trumpet.” 

A true musical innovator, Nakariakov has helped bring the flugelhorn into the spotlight as a serious concert instrument, and his repertoire reaches far beyond the traditional trumpet canon. He is constantly searching for new ways to explore and expand the instrument, performing fascinating transcriptions and new works commissioned from composers including Jörg Widmann, Uri Brener, Peter Ruzicka, Enjott Schneider, and Mikhail Pletnev.
