Icarus In Heat is a bold new performance work that reimagines the myth of Icarus in the charged space between father and son. Where desire is inherited, escape is a construction, and fire is not just a warning but an inevitability.

The piece unfolds as a fractured narrative told through movement, music, and shadow puppetry. What begins as a fall becomes a reckoning: with the father who built the wings, the systems that ache for conformity, and the longing that refused containment. At its core, Icarus In Heat interrogates the tension between self-determination and inherited consequence. It asks: What do we carry that was never ours? What must we burn to become? This is not a cautionary tale. It is a confrontation.
