Opening Friday, May 19th during the LexArts Gallery Hop is “Aquascapes” by Stevie Moore, Lexingtonian (not to be confused with the salad), 2005 UK College of Fine Arts Graduate with a Bachelors in Painting and Printmaking. Stevie’s artistic endeavors are varied - oils, digital, illustration, and murals. Educator for the Living Arts and Science Center beginning in 2003, he has hosted over 100 classes for both adults and children. He is currently an Architecture Visualization Specialist at Brandstetter Carroll. 

Stevie believes, “Art is the ability to transcribe your imagination to share with the world. It is an attempt to express, to translate, if you will, the uniqueness of how only you see the world.” 

Drawing inspiration from being a tropical and freshwater aquarist, “Aquascapes” explores the color and movement of underwater life.
