SCFA presents Mary Halvorson: Amaryllis

Widely regarded as one of the most original voices in contemporary jazz, guitarist and composer Mary Halvorson leads her dynamic Amaryllis Sextet—featuring Adam O’Farrill (trumpet), Jacob Garchik (trombone), Patricia Brennan (vibraphone), Nick Dunston (bass), and Tomas Fujiwara (drums). Known for her genre-blurring compositions and unpredictable improvisational style, Halvorson has been called “an unflinching original” (The New York Times) and “the most future-seeking guitarist working right now” (NPR). This all-star ensemble showcases her singular vision: adventurous, intricate, and deeply collaborative.
