Cypress Productions Presents: Actual Throat

This story follows Fiona, an in and out of work, hobby obsessed, individual who recently dug up a metal arm. A metal arm that has evaded the life prescribed to it by its original maker, now becoming the active agent in her own life as she pursues Fiona through her dreams, unknowingly replicating the only relationship pattern she knows: obsession.

This play is an exploration on the murky line between reality and unreality. How unreality becomes a haven when real life feels dark, and the morality of our actions in our dreams.

Opening back in 2017, Cypress Productions seeks to connect to Lexington audiences with artist-driven theatre. Producing new works from emerging playwrights and other thrilling work that has not been seen in our community. We work towards the goal of broadening our outlook on humanity through diverse, thought provoking productions with the belief that to be alive you must be fully present.
