In "Lexington, Kentucky: Segregated by Design," we document and share examples of local policies and actions that perpetuated segregation, including racially restrictive deed covenants, redlining, steering by realtors, planning and zoning practices, and destruction of neighborhoods through "urban renewal." We also show the ongoing impact those past policies have on our community today.
