Join Salvation South for an online event with readings by—and discussions with—four of Appalachia's most important authors: Kentucky Poet Laureate and best-selling novelist Silas HouseAnother Appalachia author Neema AvashiaGay Poems for Red States author Willie Edward Taylor Carver Jr., and Robert Gipe, author of the illustrated novels TrampolineWeedeater, and Pop.

Admission to this event is free, but you will be encouraged—frequently and fervently!—to donate to the Kentucky Youth Law Project, a nonprofit legal services corporation that provides free legal representation and public policy advocacy for LGBTQIA+ children and youth in government services, social welfare agencies, the Courts and public schools throughout Kentucky. KYLP envisions "a future where every youth can live authentically and with dignity, free from legal barriers and prejudice."

Salvation South is proud to host this event as part of our Love Louder initiative, which tells the stories of people who are marginalized because of skin color, sexual orientation and identity, or immigrant status.
