The Complete Appalachian Media Institute Film Catalog

The Appalachian Media Institute (AMI) has made its entire catalog public on YouTube!

Each of these films was made by Appalachian youth (aged 14–20) as part of AMI's annual Summer Documentary Institute (SDI). For eight weeks over the summer, attendees learn to make a documentary on a topic of their choosing, culminating in a finished film. The application form for this year's SDI will go live next month, but if you have any questions, reach out to ami@appalshop.org.
