Make art, connect with nature, and have fun with new friends during this completely outdoors Saturday camp at Josephine Sculpture Park! Each week, Art in Nature Campers will complete an art and conservation project and end the day by freely exploring the park grounds.

All activities will incorporate mindfulness, nature connection, and artmaking in an outdoor setting – a wonderful combination of experiences that help participants get creative, calm their mind and body, relieve stress and anxiety, and be more confident and resilient in exploring themselves and new scenarios that may come their way. Join us at Josephine Sculpture Park, where art meets the earth!

Registration Required by Wednesday, June 30

Weather & Clothing: We will be outdoors to enhance the direct learning and health benefits of being in nature, and to reduce the chance of spreading COVID-19 and other airborne viruses. In the event of severe weather, we will convert the session to virtual. We ask that parents/guardians monitor the weather to encourage participants to wear appropriate clothing to keep them comfortable, such as a raincoat, jacket, coat, hat, close-toed shoes, and sunglasses. However, we do not want this be a barrier to your participation. Simply contact us if you have questions or concerns about the outdoor nature of the program, or if you need assistance with clothing.

Parents & Guardians: You are not required to remain at the Park during camp; please respect our camp start and end time (11am to noon). But don’t let your camper have all the fun! Nature and art are good for you, too! While your participant is at camp, we invite you to explore JSP’s mowed walking paths among 30 acres of native Kentucky habitat and over 60 public art installations. There are also plenty of outdoor tables, benches, and shady spots for you to relax and reflect.

COVID-19 Safety Precautions: Campers and instructor(s) will monitor and report their temperature, potential symptoms, and potential exposure to COVID-19, and communicate results as appropriate as outlined in official guidelines. Campers and instructor(s) will wear a mask and maintain at least 6ft distance. Campers will not share supplies or utensils. We will monitor any official COVID-19 updates and adapt our precautions accordingly. In the event that we need to discontinue in-person programming for public health reasons, Art in Nature Camp will continue virtually. Upon registration, we will send you more detailed information. In the meantime, if you have any questions or concerns, please contact us.
