Frankfort, KY — Kentucky artist Jennifer Millard invites the public to experience The Landscapes We Love, an intimate collection of soft pastel paintings in a relaxed, personal setting. Her work explores the emotional presence of Kentucky landscapes. The exhibit will be on view at Expree Credit Union, with a public reception on March 27, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.

Working primarily en plein air, Millard paints directly within the landscape, capturing natural landmarks throughout Kentucky and beyond—including waterfalls, arches, forests, and sweeping vistas. Her work reflects a deep engagement not only with the visual beauty of these places, but with their atmosphere, history, and sense of place.

Through the use of soft pastel, Millard builds rich layers of color and texture, responding to shifting light and weather conditions. Her paintings convey both the quiet stillness and enduring strength of the natural world—from the subtle hush of a winter landscape to the monumental presence of sandstone arches and cascading waterfalls.
