What do Boston elites, a black kid from Arkansas, and a Bohemian on vacation in rural Iowa have in common? They were all making American music in 1893!

Come hear the variety and energy of the music scene in nineteenth century U.S.A., featuring popular, patriotic, and art music including a string quintet written in the middle of nowhere. And on top of that we have paintings by Lexington artist Bonnie Klein, inspired by the program. Join us for our first-ever Amadeus Lex event!

Amadeus Lex brings art music to life by producing exciting, powerful, and accessible chamber music concerts. We believe music is funmusic is meaningful, and music is for everyone. Our concerts are not just traditional performances of classical music: we'll invite you into the music with stories, weave in music of other genres, and even experiment with other art forms. Meet local artists and be inspired by great beauty through our enjoyable and dynamic programs.
