River Sweep

Each June, volunteers are invited to help clean up litter and trash from the 12 miles of the Kentucky River that touch Fayette County. It's a great opportunity to see the river up close and start the summer with a clean environment. 

This event is sponsored by City of Lexington and the Kentucky River Authority.

Note: If you have a kayak or canoe, bring it! We will have canoes for folks to use, but the more folks who bring their own, the faster everyone can get in the water.
