Gallery Reception with the Basket Makers
Mill & Max Contemplative Arts Gallery
385 S. Mill St., Lexington, Kentucky 40508
4:30pm - 8:30pm EDT
Join us FRI evening during Gallery HOP to meet the Artists and enjoy refreshments during our opening our new exhibit "Contemplative Coils: 3 Generations of Basket Makers" featuring the Artists: Linda Lane, Michelle Lane and Alyssum Pohl.
A Lexington mother and daughter-in-law team, plus one of their students, bring us hand-coiled baskets of elaborate design patterns and complex stitching, made from a variety of materials including endangered long leaf pine needles, sea grass, and iris leaves.
Piece descriptions and price sheets available upon request.
Located at the corner of Mill & Maxwell Streets inside the Shambhala Center, we have FREE PARKING and are only a 2-block walk to the heart of downtown and many other galleries.
If you can't attend Friday night, visit us during our regular open hours on Sat & Sun 12-3pm through Oct 20th, or our Virtual Gallery Tour at MillAndMaxGallery.com.
UPDATE: We are also offering to the public a Basket Coiling Workshop, taught by Linda, Michelle and Alyssum! Sun Oct 6, 1–5pm. Appropriate for all levels. Details and registration info at MillAndMaxGallery.com
