For over 30 years, Tortoise has shaped the sound of modern music. Hailed as pioneers of the post-rock movement, this Chicago-based group blends jazz, rock, electronic, and experimental elements into something entirely their own. With landmark albums like Millions Now Living Will Never DieTNT, and Standards, Tortoise continues to defy genre and expectation.

The band — Jeff Parker, Dan Bitney, Douglas McCombs, John Herndon, and John McEntire — is renowned for its intricate musicianship and immersive live performances. The New York Times calls them “a live marvel,” while Pitchfork describes their sound as “a planchette moving over a Ouija board—guided, but unpredictable.”

Opening support from Jungle Boogie (Tortoise founding member Bundy K. Brown) and Movie Jail.
